Sheriff Calder’s Back Porch Dogs

Sheriff Calder isn’t much for complicated recipes.

Long shifts. Early mornings. Kids to feed and not a lot of time in between.

But every now and then, he’ll step out onto the back porch, fire up a skillet, and make something that feels a little more like home.

Buttery toasted buns. Crispy bacon. Melted cheese that drips just enough to make a mess.

If his sister’s around, she’ll insist on homemade buns.
If she’s not… well, store-bought works just fine.
