From Around the Bay: A Sign on Wing Whirr Way
Share

The hydrangeas along Wing Whirr Way are blooming earlier than usual this year.
No one can quite remember the last time they came in this full, this soft, this soon.
Goldie used to say that meant something.
That when the blooms came early, it wasn’t just the season shifting—it was the town preparing. For something new. Something good.
People still say her name when they pass that stretch of road, like she might be listening from one of the porches or tucked somewhere behind the hedges.
And maybe she is.
Because this morning, more than one person slowed their walk just to look a little longer at those blooms…
…and wonder what might be on its way.
